Robert Wilfort
Patron
While many recognise him as the iconic Jason in Gavin & Stacey or Bob Cratchit in Dickensian, Robert’s credits read like a "must-watch" list of British drama. He has navigated the worlds of Bridgerton, Sex Education, and Wolf Hall, and made his mark on cinema through two collaborations with Mike Leigh and a turn in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
On stage, his range is equally vast—from the boards of the Chichester Festival Theatre to his 2022 acclaimed run as the title lead in the UK tour of Spike.
Robert’s connection to Theatre Shed began personally, as the parent of a young performer. Blown away by the charity’s mission to treat every young person—regardless of background or ability—as an equally valued Creative, he stepped up to ensure their work continued.
In 2024, Robert leveraged his Gavin & Stacey legacy to raise over £50,000 for the charity through a high-profile script raffle. Today, he is a proud Patron, dedicated to championing inclusive theatre for the next generation.
